Christian chakra art 8x10"
Commissioned Christian chakra art “A Pillar of Light” by Katie Garner. A single scripture verse from the Doctrine and Covenants amazingly lines up right alongside the 7 energy centers. (A very similar “watermarked” mockup is pictured.) God teaches about this usually unseen light beyond the various scriptures illustrated in the chapter on wheels of light (chakras) in Tamara Laing’s first book Healing Arts - A Gift from God.

I commissioned Katie Garner, a temple mural artist, to make digital art of some of the symbolism the prophet Ezekiel saw in the vision he had of God’s glory. Ezekiel wrote, “The heavens were opened and I saw visions of God.” (Ezekiel 1:1) He also saw 4 creatures in the likeness of a man. The idea to correspond with Katie came about because a woman named Emily Peery approached me at an “LDS Holistic Living Conference” in Salt Lake City in 2017. She asked if she could share a scripture verse with me, which was Doctrine & Covenants 88:40. She read the verse out loud asking me to think of the seven main energy centers of the body, imagining them in my mind from the top down. I invite you to do the same.
Emily asked if I thought this verse had anything to do with chakras. My body was tingling at that point with what I call “truth bumps.” I told her that I felt the verse did align with what I had learned about the energy centers of the body that are often called chakras. The upper and middle chakras fit so perfectly and obviously with this verse of scripture! I told her I would study more about the lowest one.
Katie Garner chose to use figure eights in the background of her artwork to represent the light of Christ that connects us all. Apostles have taught that we are all connected through the light of Christ.
I also note the following:
“At present the interpretation of Ezekiel’s vision has not been given to the Church, so the Lord does not hold his Saints accountable for understanding what is represented by the wheels.” Old Testament Student Manual--1 KINGS-MALACHI, p 266
"The Prophet Joseph Smith said: ‘I make this broad declaration, that whenever god gives a vision of an image, or beast or figure of any kind, He always holds Himself responsible to give a revelation or interpretation of the meaning thereof, otherwise we are not responsible or accountable for our belief in it. Don’t be afraid of being damned for not knowing the meaning of a vision or figure, if God has not given a revelation or interpretation of the subject.’ (Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, 291.)
Joseph Smith: “The prophets do not declare that they saw a beast or beasts, but that they saw the image or figure of a beast.1 Daniel did not see an actual bear or a lion, but the images or figures of those beasts. The translation should have been rendered “image” instead of “beast,” in every instance where beasts are mentioned by the prophets. But John saw the actual beast in heaven,2 showing to John that beasts did actually exist there, and not to represent figures of things on the earth. When the prophets speak of seeing beasts in their visions, they mean that they saw the images, they being types to represent certain things. At the same time they received the interpretation as to what those images or types were designed to represent.” Scriptural Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, 291
